Late Summer Gyaru Fashion Trends

We're currently transitioning into fall (well, at least most of you Northern-hemisphere people are *shifty eyes*) and I've been reading too many gyaru magazines / stalking too many online shops lately. In the up-and-coming clothes you can already see the new trends surfacing!

I've made some imageboards out of the latest fashions I found in the Shibuya 109 online shop, and that I also saw in many August gyaru magazines such as Popteen and Happie Nuts.

New trends

Light-washed denim paired with white and minimal black details seems to be a big trend this late summer. Distressed and baggy jeans are popular, but I've noticed them in mostly light blue to light grey hues! (this whole imageboard looks like the colors of my country's flag *wipes off patriotic tear*)

Monotone black and white and big houndstooth patterns will transition really well into the fall, I think. Huge stripes are in, too! I specially love the transparent skirt by MA*RS. By having a clear fabric over a solid skirt you can manage to go a little shorter, hahaha (ゝ。∂)

As for accessories, chokers are EVERYWHERE!! They look adorable and definitely tie in well with both the clothing trends I described above. I guess I need to dig out my old chokers from my pre-teen gothic phase... did I say that out loud?

Going-going-gone Trends

It really seems as though jelly-like vinyl plastic is more of a summer thing, and I agree. I consistently see this trend going out when we finally enter fall and colder weathers, but I have to say it's one of my favorite fads. I love love love the look of the transparent plastic material and bright colors! While these are still on sale on the Shibuya 109, they will probably clearance their way out when summer ends.

Do you enjoy this kind of fashion report? Would you like to see more of these in the future?
Send me your love in the comments! I reply and if we have things in common, I'll follow back!
