Old Travel Log #2 - Disney 2010 Part 2 (Disney Cruise)

As promised, here goes a very photographic continuation of the last post.

First off... Key West!

LOL Heartbreak hotel. If you wish, rooms are available.

Chickens run rampant  around the island. We didn't get it, either. According to the tour guide, they were due to the island's first "conquerors", who left them behind.

Mile zero! This is the end of Route 1.

Like I said before, Key West was actually a really weird place. Lots of drunks... and lots of seashells. It was definitely my least favorite.

After going back to the hotel...

Escargots wtf. Two gross people in my family ordered them (my dad AND my little 10-year old sister... can you believe that??)

They do look yummy, I'll give them that. But there's no way I'm putting a dead insect in my mouth just for the heck of it.

A soup made out of... something. Cheese? The apple juice means that this was my mom's choice for a meal.

Looks too healthy. I'm sure I didn't order it.
Now this is my kind of thing!!! This had a cherry and chocolatey sauce filled center. Very good!!
Here, have another picture, 'cause it's just that good.

Afterwards we arrived in... Cozumel, Mexico!
Mom was taking pictures at the butterflies. Eeek.

As you can see, the ocean was very choppy that day.

Nick and I on a water motorcycle!! :) We went the fastest we could. I'm not one for speed, but my boyfriend made me do it.

No food pictures for that day. I guess we were really tired.

After a day at sea, our next spot was the Cayman Islands!

Because there is a coral reef nearby, no cruise-boats are allowed near the island. Hence, they make you board a small boat to get there.

View from the small boat. See what I told you?? IT'S NOT WATER, IT'S JELLY!

More jelly-water.

Cayman had beautiful beaches, and nice satiny sand. Softest sand I ever walked on.

Back at the ship...

Pumpkin soup. What's with my mom and soups?

Desert sampler. Because you can't just have one!

Picture of the sunset :) My bf is a dang good photographer!

Camwhoring! Look at that mess behind me, sheesh.

The last stop was Castaway Cay! Disney's private island.

A starfish buried in a sandbank. So cute!

Recognize it?? It's the Flying Dutchman from Pirates of the Caribbean!! :)

Castaway Cay was kind of cold that day... so we didn't do much. To make up for it, let's have a dessert marathon:

Oh, and almost forgot!
In Castaway, my bf went on some kind of swimming expedition by himself... with a camera! Here's what he found under the sea:

Sunken Minnie Mouse. Such a cute detail :)

Wanna hear the funnest part? That evening there was a storm in Castaway, and the ship got stuck. What that meant was... another night in the Cruise! LOL

It was a bit enraging at first, because we didn't know what was going on... but we had another dinner so WTF!

I feel really bad for the people waiting in Cape Canaveral to board the Disney Magic, though!! :( I hope they got some kind of retribution.

That's it then!! Hope you enjoyed my pic-a-thon!! :)
